The largest stockholder of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. apparently has cashed out its investment, selling an estimated 6.71 million shares, according to a regulatory filing Monday.

It’s not clear when Mohamed Abdulmohsin Al Khara & Sons W.L.L. of Kuwait sold the stock, although it declared the sale Friday. Major investors typically list their stake in a company only when there has been a significant increase or decrease.
